This page is about one thing: getting rid of your Grow account and the conversations attached to it. For everything else it does with your data, see the privacy policy.

The short version

There is no delete button in the app yet. Asking a person is the way in, today.

How to ask

  • Email hello@fantail.ai
  • A person reads it — there is no automated queue
  • No account has an email on it by default, so say roughly when you started and what you asked about

What's deleted

  • The account itself
  • Every question and every answer stored under it
  • Any email address you attached for recovery

What's kept

  • The accounting row for each answer — which model, how many tokens, how long it took
  • With the account identifier stripped off first
  • Kept because it's what the service cost, not who asked

What happens after you ask

No self-service button exists in the app yet, so this is what actually happens instead of what a form would promise.

1. You email hello@fantail.ai

Say you want your Grow account deleted. If you ever added an email to the account, send this request from that address — it's the only thing that proves the account is yours. If you didn't, there's nothing to match against, so include roughly when you first used the app and what you asked about, and the account can still be found.

2. The account and its history are deleted

The account is removed from Supabase, the database that holds it, and every question and answer attached to it goes with it. This is a person running the deletion by hand today, not a job that fires automatically the moment you ask — so it isn't instant, but it isn't left to sit either.

3. You're told what happened

You get a reply saying what was deleted and what was kept, rather than being left to assume either. That reply is also where to push back if something doesn't match what this page says should happen.

4. The accounting row survives, stripped

The one thing that isn't deleted is the row recording what each answer cost to produce: the model used, the tokens in and out, the time it took. The account identifier is removed from it first. Once that's gone, the row says nothing about who asked — only what the service, in aggregate, costs to run — which is the only reason it's kept at all.

If your account never had an email on it

Most accounts don't — signing in needs no form and no password, so most people never attach one.

Losing access is also final

An account with no email attached can't be recovered once you sign out of it on every device that holds the session — there's no password reset for an identifier nobody wrote down. The app warns about this before it lets you sign out. It's the same one-way door as deletion, just reached by accident instead of on purpose, which is worth knowing before you tap it.
